Sunrise Sports Current Record on Picks (3-2)
Pick of the Week: Green Bay Packers (-3) vs Cleveland Browns
With Aaron Rodgers potentially coming back next week, the Packers are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think this alone is enough to motivate them to win and cover versus an abysmal Browns team.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-4) vs Baltimore Ravens
The Steelers offensive weapons will overpower the Ravens in this one. The Ravens have a good defense but with Joe Flacco under center, they won’t have the ability to keep up with the Steelers in this one. The Steelers cover at home.
Houston Texans (-1) vs San Francisco 49ers
With Jimmy Garropolo taking over at QB for the 49ers, I think the excitement has overmatched reality. Garropolo is starting his first game with the 49ers which is still a very weak team on both sides of the ball. Tom Savage has looked better as of late, and I think the Texans, the better overall team, come out with a victory at home.
Minnesota Vikings (-3) vs Carolina Panthers
The Vikings have been one of the best defenses in football, and I think they will be able to exploit Cam Newton’s inconsistent play. The Vikings have a balanced offense, and I think they will be able to control the game well enough to leave Carolina with a win.
Upset Pick: Arizona Cardinals (+3) vs Tennessee Titans
The Titans have been rolling but winning in close and unconvincing fashion. I think this week that streak ends. Mariota has disappointed this year and with the stout Cardinals run defense, I think the Cardinals have a strong shot at an upset. If Blaine Gabbert can limit turnovers, I think the Cardinals win at home.
